Our pieces are made with quality materials like sterling silver, brass, and gold, without plating or coatings. However, as they are metals without additional treatments, they may change color over time and with use due to oxidation. But don't worry, with proper cleaning, they will shine like new again. Here are some tips to keep them in their best condition:
1. Cleaning with soap and water
This is the simplest and safest way to clean your jewelry. You just need a little warm water and mild soap (like hand soap or dish soap). Follow these steps:
- Apply the soap directly to the jewelry.
- Gently rub with a soft brush.
- Rinse the jewelry under the faucet, while continuing to gently rub.
- Dry with a soft cloth, rubbing a bit more if you want to give it extra shine. The more you rub, the more polished it will be!
2. Cleaning with toothpaste
Another effective option is to use white toothpaste, as it contains baking soda, a great ally for removing dirt and restoring shine to your jewelry. The process is very similar:
- Apply the dry toothpaste to the jewelry.
- Rub with a soft brush, making sure to reach all corners.
- Rinse under the faucet, rubbing a little more to ensure no toothpaste residue remains.
- Dry with a soft cloth, and you're done! Your jewelry should regain its original shine.
3. If the result is not as expected
Sometimes, no matter how much we clean, we don't get the shine we expect. If that happens to you, don't worry. You can bring the jewelry to the store and we will take care of making it look like new. It will be as if you just bought it!
Remember that taking good care of your jewelry will make it last longer and always look perfect. We hope these tips are useful!
